How the warband began

Forged at Hyjal

The Warforged formed from the remnants of military companies broken in the Third War. When Lordaeron fell, what was left of its armies fled west to Kalimdor and joined humans, night elves and dwarves in a last stand against the Burning Legion at Mount Hyjal.

When the human lines broke, soldiers from a dozen shattered companies rallied together and held the rear so others could escape. A human paladin, Andelor Reinhardt, and a night elf rogue, Harlock Arkavian, led them. They went into that battle as strangers under different banners and came out as one warband, the Warforged. Before going their separate ways, they swore an oath:

If any of us ever needs the others, the warband will answer.
Why the warband rides again

The warband's purpose

Now the Alliance is fragile, the Horde is an enemy again, and the Scourge still holds the north, so Andelor and Harlock have called the warband back together.

The Warforged ride to find their scattered brothers and sisters in arms, to show that the Alliance's peoples are stronger fighting side by side, and to answer any member who calls for help. Veterans, soldiers without a unit, kin of the fallen, and anyone else who has been broken and left behind are welcome.

Those who lead the warband

The Pantheon

Founder

Harlock Arkavian

Night Elf · Rogue
Tactician
Away from battle
Charming, quick-witted and well read. As comfortable trading stories in a tavern as debating history with scholars.
In battle
Elusive and merciless. He strikes from the shadows, and his enemies rarely see more than a wicked grin before the blade.
Guild reputation
Its voice in courts and taverns, and its knife in the dark.
Founder

Andelor Reinhardt

Human · Paladin
Knight Scholar
Away from battle
Scholarly and soft-spoken, with a quiet warmth. Most at home among old ruins and older books, and always willing to talk history with anyone who’ll listen.
In battle
Steadfast and unyielding. He holds the line, shield raised, so that no one behind him falls.
Guild reputation
Its conscience and its anchor: the one who keeps the guild true to what it stands for.

Aldric “Fear” Inoculum

Human · Warlock
Dread Academic
Away from battle
Analytical, detached, and intensely composed. Aldric studies light and void with clinical fascination, viewing fear not as a weakness to be purged, but as a biological mechanism to be studied, isolated, and mastered.
In battle
Methodical and overwhelming. He does not rush; he infects, breaks, and turns his enemies’ terror into a weapon, using the very horrors they fear to make them invulnerable to defeat.
Guild reputation
Its cold pragmatist and necessary edge: the quiet specialist called in when the guild needs to survive an impossible, nightmarish threat.

Elizalynn Ashbright

Night Elf · Priest
Lightweaver
Away from battle
Blithe and carefree. When she doesn't have the lives of her friends and family in her hands, she doesn't care to care. Drink in hand, she's off to play.
In battle
As her companions push forward and destroy, Elizalynn is beside them, keeping their hearts beating so that they can kill to live another day.
Guild reputation
While her effervescent air can keep the stoicism of the guild from overtaking them, she's also not afraid to remind these men who keeps them alive.

Gwenquaia Elaris

Skyborne · Druid
Moonwarden
Away from battle
Curious and quietly mischievous, with a deep-rooted respect for the balance of nature. Most at home beneath the canopy of ancient forests, where the world grows quiet enough to hear the old stories whispered by the wind.
In battle
A swift and merciless huntress, striking from the shadows with fang and claw. When the fight turns desperate, she becomes an unshakable bear, standing between her allies and whatever dares threaten them.
Guild reputation
Its wild heart and steadfast guardian, ensuring no member is left to face the darkness alone.

Decima Nightbloom

Skyborne · Druid
Tender of the Grove
Away from battle
Enigmatic, spontaneous, and intense. Enjoys balancing calm and chaos, throwing wild parties in the light of the moon, then silently caring for her plants in the morning sun.
In battle
Volatile and tenacious, she does whatever it takes to see her goal through, whether that's destroying evil or healing her allies.
Guild reputation
The wild card, she's the one you call for a good time AND a long time!
